Pricing

With the SUSE Cloud Program, SUSE has adopted the pay-as-you-go/pay-by-use accounting methods of our Cloud Service Provider partners. We have also introduced a flexible pricing model for hosted services. The product pricing is available on a separate Cloud Service provider price list. Please email us for a more in-depth discussion at susecloudprg@suse.com

The majority of the products available under the SUSE Cloud program follow a per-instance or per-use-time pricing scheme. Pricing is available by the hour, by the month or by the year—just pick the one which best fits your business model. In case none of these options work for you, please email us at susecloudprg@suse.com.

The SUSE Cloud Program is a royalty-based licensing program and there is no upfront investment required to get started, which reduces your risk to a minimum. Our Cloud Service Provider partners report the amount of hosted hours of SUSE Linux Enterprise Server instances at the end of each month. At the end of each quarter, SUSE will then invoice for the accumulated royalties due based on each partner's monthly reports.

Holistic Approach

The SUSE Cloud Program is one of our newest go-to-market programs for partners, joining the popular SUSE Appliance Program. The programs are designed to complement each other. While the Appliance program primarily focuses on our ISV partners and helps to build and market integrated solutions and appliances, the SUSE Cloud Program targets partners who sell IaaS, PaaS and SaaS. SUSE Studio is the universal workload integration and lifecycle management tool that bridges between both worlds, allowing ISV partners to leverage the cloud as a channel and allowing Cloud Service Provider partners to create additional value through their own marketplaces.

How to Get Started

To join the SUSE Cloud Program, simply enter into a Cloud Service Provider Agreement with SUSE, through which SUSE will grant the required sublicensing rights for providing hosted services based on the SUSE product portfolio to your customers.

Accelerate Traffic to your Cloud

The SUSE Cloud Program is complemented by a set of products that help customers overcome the most pressing barriers to cloud adoption. The solutions allow you to secure customer workloads in your cloud with enterprise-class identity and access management controls, create and manage cloud environments, and facilitate the migration of workloads to the cloud and back.

Cloud Service Providers can differentiate their cloud offerings to developers and ISVs with award-winning tools such as SUSE Studio. SUSE Studio is a tool that makes it easy to create a customized, distributable version of SUSE Linux Enterprise and openSUSE® with just a few mouse clicks. By adding custom scripts and tools, you can use SUSE Studio to create and deploy applications to your cloud in minutes.

Why SUSE

SUSE Linux Enterprise is a Leading Enterprise Linux Distribution in Data Centers Today and the Right Choice

More and more customers, from small companies up to enterprises, are beginning to use the cloud for parts of their IT infrastructure. This is a trend that is likely to accelerate as people become more comfortable with the idea of cloud computing. Some of these companies are going to build their own clouds (private clouds), some are leveraging public cloud infrastructure, and the majority will end up with a mixture of both—a hybrid cloud approach.

The customers who use Linux in their data centers today have many rigorous requirements for their internal IT infrastructure. To make the move to cloud computing, these customers will expect the same quality of service (reliability, availability, security, serviceability) from their chosen Cloud Service Providers as they do from their own IT departments today.

SUSE Linux Enterprise is a leading enterprise Linux distribution in data centers today and it also is the right choice for building cloud services.
